It is pronounced BRINYA. She was stitched together.
Made from scraps of old fabric, pieces of leather and forgotten tartan, Brynja carries a little piece of every adventure in her stitches. Her bright red braids, battered helmet and trusty round shield make her look like a fearless warrior…
And that’s exactly what she believes she is. ⚔️
Brynja may be small, but nobody has ever managed to convince her of it.
She dreams of legendary voyages, enormous ships and glorious battles. She’ll happily challenge creatures ten times her size, armed with nothing more than her little shield, a stubborn attitude and absolutely no plan whatsoever.
The tiny scar on her face?
Ask Brynja and she’ll tell you it came from an epic battle somewhere beyond the frozen fjords.
The other members of the Voodoo Squad have heard at least six different versions of that story.
Nobody knows which one is true. 😏
Her shield has been scratched and repaired countless times. Her clothes are patched from her adventures, and a little piece of blue and orange tartan remains stitched onto her foot — a reminder of where her journey began.
And then there are the pins.
Like every true member of the Voodoo Squad, Brynja carries the marks of the strange magic that brought her to life. Every stitch, patch and imperfection tells part of her story.
She isn’t perfect.
She doesn’t want to be.
Because Brynja believes courage isn’t about being the biggest or the strongest.
It’s about taking one more step when everyone else thinks you’re too small to continue.
Eventually, her travels led her far from the northern lands and straight into the wonderfully strange world of the Voodoo Squad.
She looked at the stitched creatures around her.
They looked at her.
Brynja raised her shield.
And just like that…
the Squad had found its Viking. 🦤
Today, Brynja considers herself the official protector of the Voodoo Squad.
Whether they actually need protecting is another question.
But if trouble ever comes knocking, you can be certain of one thing:
somewhere nearby, a tiny red-haired Viking will already be grabbing her shield.
